Find your calm, wherever you roam.
The Tranquil Blanket blends beauty, function, and protection in a lightweight, breathable layer that keeps bugs at bay—no sprays or scents required. Treated with invisible, odorless Insect Shield® technology, it repels mosquitoes, ticks, and other biting bugs while you relax, picnic, stargaze, or stretch out for a nap in the grass.

Handmade in India from 100% khadi cotton, this oversized blanket features hand-tied fringe and a soft, textured weave that feels as good as it looks. Whether you’re packing it for travel or draping it across your patio chair, the Tranquil Blanket is a grounding companion for any outdoor ritual.

  • Treated with Insect Shield® to help repel mosquitoes and ticks

  • Made of 100% khadi cotton – breathable, lightweight, and natural

  • Oversized for sharing: 55 x 85 inches

  • Hand-tied fringe, artisan-made in India

  • Machine washable and odorless

“The densely-loomed Pang Wangle cotton throw is a stand-out. I felt comfortable without wanting to reach for the bug spray, especially with my kids who were often already in their pajamas when we read outside.”
Architectural Digest, July 2024

Fabric Features

  • 100% Khadi Cotton. With locally sourced raw cotton, artisans in India spin yarn with a hand-cranked Charkha wheel. Fabric is then hand-loomed and hand-dyed. Khadi cotton fabric stays naturally cool in summer and warm in winter.
  • Insect Shield repellent technology is infused into the finished blankets for lasting and safe insect protection.

Sustainable Story

Artisans in West Bengal, India have revived the tradition of making Khadi fabric by hand with locally grown cotton. Mahatma Ghandi promoted this ancient technique as means of self-sufficiency during the freedom struggle on the Indian subcontinent.

Bringing Khadi production back to this village has revitalized the local economy and provides livelihoods for scores of people. We're honored to support the renewal of this tradition and we will be adding more Khadi products coming soon.

Easy Care

  • Just throw it in the machine, as needed.
